Based on the book by Terry Pratchett with the same name The quote below is from the last page of the book, and what inspired me to make this picture If you're planning to read the book and don't want to get the ending spioled, stop reading here.
"She snatched off the hat with stars on it. It wasn't a bad hat, for show, although the stars made it look like a toy. But it was never her hat. It couldn't be. The only hat worth wearing was the one you made for yourself, not the one you bought, not the one you were given. Your own hat, for your own head. Your own future, not someone else's. She Hurled the starry hat up as high as she could. The wind there caught it neatly. It tumbled for a moment and then was lifted by a gust and, swooping and spinning, sailed away across the downs and vanished for ever. Then Tiffany made a hat out of the sky and sat on the old pot-bellied stove, listening to the wind around the horizons while the sun went down. As the shadows lengthened, many small shapes crept out of the nearby mound and joined her in the sacred place, to watch. The sun set, wich is everyday magic and warm night came. The hat filled up with stars..."
After hours and hours of work, it's finished! Anyhow, this is for our "Hat"-exhibition, read about it in my journal: [link]
I really like how it turned out What you see here is just a small version. The real one is a hi-resolution 100x70 cm (39,4x27,6 inch) photopaper print I was relieved when the prints arrived. I was afraid they'd be pixelated, though it turned out that the prints looked even better than it's digital original
P.S That's one of my favourite books.
i suppose on that scale the feegles would be too small to show up
Translation: This is amazing and I want it.
